#wearittuesday MANOLO BLAHNIK this is where my obsession with shoes came from

Nothing can make a woman happier than the new pair of her dream shoes. We all know the feeling of excitement when we see the one and only, perfect pair of pumps and often there is nothing can stop us from buying them. Or how frustrating it is when we just can't afford those favorite heels?
I fell in love, a few years ago with a little blue pair, I spotted them watching popular American TV series Sex and the City, and since then I haven't been able to stop thinking about them! When I hear Manolo, I think perfectly made, extremely comfortable shoes, made with love by the legendary Manolo Blahnik. His designs are unique and every time I get the chance to go to Selfridges, I never pass by the store without trying at least one pair on.
Who, around the world is as famous as Blahnik? He was born in Santa de la Cruz in Spain and currently lives in England. Blahnik has never studied making or designing shoes. He learned the skills of shoe-making by visiting shoe factories and talking to pattern cutters, technicians and machine operators. At first, he was designing men’s footwear, but he immediately found men’s shoes weren't enough, and he wanted to experiment more. His sleek stiletto heel design became a classic. Blahnik has always worked hard and ‘with the heart’ on his shoes. He is not only a shoe designer, but he also hand-crafts the shoes himself.

If Carrie Bradshaw can have Manolo’s, so can I.

Do you remember Bradshaw’s excitement every time she bought a pair? Of course! That’s where my love and obsession for Manolo came from. Because of Carrie Bradshaw! She always looked very feminine wearing them and they go well with a lot of different style outfits. Every single episode I was trying to spot the pair which, let’s be honest, was very easy. Sex and the City was the best advert Manolo ever had. Really often we could see the shoes, while she was going shopping, or trying shoes at home, or sorting her well-known walk-in wardrobe out, everywhere we can see the boxes of Manolo’s.

Well, I still don’t own even a single pair, however I believe it will happen one day...
